A Fortune 500 Global Insurance company is looking for a talented Data Warehouse & BI Engineer, for its Tokyo office.

This firm is currently focusing on DX transformation via Data utilization. In order to further strengthen the data utilization, from a data engineering perspective, its IT department is rebuilding and integrating various on-premise data infrastructures, which are becoming legacy, into the cloud, and building a new data infrastructure (data hub) on the cloud that seamlessly connects various data sources inside and outside of the company.

Responsibilities

- Provide training support for the team

- Understand company or IT department policies, align and deliver to Strategy

- Lead the delivery team in an agile delivery model

- Solution definition and architecture design for assigned area(s)

- Project management or PMO duties (including budget, vendor management, release management)

- BAU management of engineering team (system availability, change release, incident/issue management, etc.)

- Alignment with global IT strategy and collaboration with MetLife global and regional teams

- Experience in one of the following: data engineering or application development experience, project management or PMO experience, BSA or Data Analyst experience, data warehouse or BI report (visualization) development experience

- Experience in one of the following: data modeling and BI development experience with terabyte data sets using data warehousing, experience developing or participating in Agile, Scrum, or Seif methodologies, developing cloud-based applications or data platforms

- Lead Experience

- Experience in some of the following: Cloud Platform, PaaS Services, DevOps, Spark, Python, R, PL SQL / Transact SQL. RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server), BI (Power BI (Plus), Qlik, Tableau, etc.) and ETL (Informatica)
