A Global Internet Services Company is seeking a Database Engineer. 

This is a fast paced and diverse team of database specialists and software engineers responsible for designing, automating, managing and running the databases on Private and Public Cloud Platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in designing, developing and managing enterprise level database systems with complex interdependencies and key focus on high-availability, clustering, security, performance, and scalability requirements.

Responsibilities

- Recognize possibilities to improve performance in SQL operations and implementations

- Manage operations of the production, and staging environment databases

- Collaborate with product teams to execute and improve the data warehouse

- Communicate with engineering and DBA teams to design, implement and monitor disaster recovery plans

- Conduct technical troubleshooting and bug fixing

- Proven experience in automatic deployment and configuration management for database infrastructure

- Knowledge in automation, scripting and development using Shell Scripting and Python programming
