Global AI Company which is now expanding their footprint in the Japanese market is looking for a Data Analyst to support the growth of the Japanese operations.

As a data analyst you will have exposure and training from some of the top AI and big data analytics professionals from Australia, which includes professionals from the CSIRO and will work with a local team in Japan with the aim of growing the global business in Japan.

The successful applicant will be motivated, have great communication skills and with some knowledge of AI and Big data analytics, machine learning. Your experience in Python will also be used when working on databases and cloud platforms.

Required Skills

‐ Good bilingual communicator (prefer native level Japanese and business level English)
‐ 1-3 years' experience in Python, databases, Excel, cloud platforms including AWS
‐ Ability to dissect and analyse vast amounts of data to be digestible by AI.
‐ Comfortable with ambiguity and willingness to make decisions based on incomplete data and information
‐ Good business sense. Exposure to the FMCG industry a bonus
‐ Understanding and prioritizing business requirements, diligence in documentation
‐ Team player, willing to share the workload
‐ Good under pressure working with multiple clients and projects at the same time.

Preferred Skills

‐ Experience working in a multicultural and cross border environment.
‐ A mathematical / statistical or technical background would be desired (but not essential) for interpreting results
‐ Understanding or experience with Agile and SDLC methodologies
‐ Familiarity with or interest in data science
‐ Knowledge or willingness to learn computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
