A major global insurance firm, which is listed on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange is hiring a Senior Network Engineer. The Service Delivery Division is the backbone of the company, creation, setting up and maintaining the IT infrastructure in the company. 


This role will cover network architecture, design, and creating custom network technology solutions for the new company network covering on-premise mainframe, and public Cloud, as part of the Infrastructure Migration Program. It also covers delivery of network designs for perimeter projects and acting as Tier 3 support on projects and daily operations.


The organization structure is flat. This position does not have any direct-reports, but requires teamwork. Experience in Agile/Scrum or DevOps environment has obvious advantages.



‐Provide network infrastructure leadership and expertise across data network services

‐Lead the new datacenter and public cloud network build and migration

‐Work on the Network Security Standards and Best Practice Documents

‐Contribute to the development of standards, procedures, best practices and business processes

‐Deliver regular reports citing metrics on network service

‐Contribute to creating and reviewing RFP responses involving network services

‐Create, maintain and review documentation
















Required Skills

‐Experience as a senior network engineer at a large, multinational corporation

‐Expert level understanding of: LAN, MAN, and WAN architectures and the design, installation, and operation of global multi-national networks.Internetwork protocols like BGP, OSPF, MPLS, ISIS and Quality of Service. L2 protocols like STP, VSTP, MSTP, LACP. Inter-AS connectivity (eBGP, MPLS)

‐Understanding of:WAN experience covering SONET, OCx, DSx, Ethernet Privet Line (EPL), DSL/HSDSL and MPLS. L4-L7, specifically as it relates to the configuration of local and global load balancing.DNS and DHCP. Network management, network availability and capacity planning

‐Understanding of: SNMP, PowerShell. Common network and system attack methods. Security best practices. Network analysis. New data center bridging technologies and unified fabrics

‐Experience in: Software defined network and virtual network. Enterprise cloud architecture. Designing complex, highly available, infrastructure solutions in a large-scale, multisite, international environment




‐BGP、OSPF、MPLS、ISIS、Quality of Serviceなどのインターネットプロトコルの知識


‐SONET、OCx、DSx、Ethernet Privet Line (EPL)、DSL/HSDSL、MPLSを含むWANに関する経験
