A global and one of the world’s largest insurance providers is looking for a strong bilingual professional for an IT Support – Multimedia Support Engineer position within the Japan Information Technology Department.
The position is hands-on and service-focused, covering system setup, videoconference execution, live meeting support, and rapid troubleshooting of AV / VC issues. Key responsibilities include maintaining room readiness, resolving hardware and signal problems, performing preventive maintenance, and delivering consistent user experience under time-sensitive conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Setup, test, operate, and tear down audiovisual, videoconferencing, and digital signage equipment
- Ensure meeting rooms are fully functional and technically ready for scheduled sessions
- Support both routine and high-visibility executive meetings
- Execute all aspects of videoconferences including call setup and monitoring
- Provide real-time troubleshooting during live meetings
- Deliver end-user assistance and training on collaboration technologies
- Escalate complex technical issues when required
- Provide technical support for AV and videoconferencing systems
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, connectivity, and signal-related issues
- Maintain high service quality under time-sensitive conditions
- Perform regular preventive maintenance checks on AV and VC equipment
- Identify and address issues before service disruptions occur
- Maintain reliability and operational integrity of conference rooms
- Act as the primary liaison between Japan and global technology teams
- Coordinate deployments, escalations, and global initiative rollouts
- Drive smooth adoption and change management for new technologies
- Provide guidance to end users on presentation and meeting technologies
- Assist users in effectively utilizing collaboration tools
- Promote best practices for meeting room technology usage

Required Skills:
- Min 3-6 years of strong exp/working knowledge of audiovisual and videoconferencing systems
- Hands-on experience with enterprise collaboration platforms and room technologies
- Familiarity with Cisco videoconferencing ecosystems
- Experience with Crestron control and automation systems
- Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities across AV environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and collaboration workflows
- Ability to operate effectively in user-facing, service-driven environments

Working Hours: 9:00 - 18:00 (Mon-Fri)
Working Style: 3 days’ work in office, and 2 days’ work from home
