A Global IT Service firm is seeking a Data Scientist. You will play a central role in transforming the Claims function into a truly data-driven organization.
As a Data Scientist within the Data Team, you will play a central role in transforming the Claims function into a truly data-driven organization. You will work at the intersection of business, data, and technology, developing practical AI/ML solutions and helping implement them in real-world business use cases., translating them into data and technical requirements, and driving initiatives from requirement definition through delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support the implementation of practical AI solutions and code for various business use cases
- Support the development, testing, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models
- Analyze structured and unstructured data using Python and relevant data science libraries
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and generate actionable insights to support business decision-making
- Support AI governance to ensure AI models are deployed safely, responsibly, and sustainably
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, business teams, and project managers, including through high-quality technical and business documentation
- Continuously develop knowledge of emerging AI and Generative AI technologies, methodologies, and industry trends
- Contribute to the development of best practices in data science and AI within the Claims domain
Required Skills:
- 3–7 years of experience in developing machine learning models
- Hands-on experience participating in projects involving AI and/or Generative AI solutions
- Strong Python programming skills with experience using relevant data science and machine learning libraries
- Ability to understand and interpret business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Professional experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of key Generative AI concepts, including: RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)、LLMs (Large Language Models)、Embeddings、Prompt Engineering, etc.

Salary: Up to 12,000,000 JPY/Year (9,000,000 JPY base + Bonus +OT)
Working Hours: 9:00 – 17:00 (Mon-Fri)
Working Style: 50% WFH and 50% Work from Office
Holidays: Two days off per week (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays), Paid vacation, New Year's holiday, special leave, summer vacation
