A Japanese financial firm is seeking a S enior Associate – IT GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) / Risk and Controls Specialist.
In this role, you will work closely with IT business units and senior management to understand the organization’s technology risk profile, manage risks, and balance priorities around risk acceptance. You will also advise technology management on critical issues and provide guidance on less urgent matters.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Group CIO to implement and maintain an effective control environment that ensures risks remain within acceptable thresholds
- Support the creation and implementation of policies, standards, controls, and risk appetite statements
- Ensure that the enterprise Operational Risk Management Framework is embedded within the Group CIO function and that management information (MI) is readily available
- Perform control testing and provide recommendations for necessary improvements
- Oversee annual internal and external audits related to the Group CIO
- Participate in risk management forums and committees
- Collaborate with second and third lines of defense to ensure compliance with risk management requirements
- Provide guidance on risk management for emerging technologies such as cloud, secure-by-design, and AI
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Compliance, Risk and Controls, or a related qualification
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in risk and controls
