A global insurance company is seeking a Data Engineer
to support the development, operation, and enhancement of enterprise data platforms, Data Lake environments, and data integration services used across the organization.
- Develop and maintain Data Lake and enterprise data platform environments
- Support data integration and streaming initiatives using ETL and related technologies
- Perform system development, testing, maintenance, and operational support activities
- Support BAU activities including requirement gathering, design, development, validation, and issue resolution
- Collaborate with business users to identify improvement opportunities and support DX initiatives
- Participate in analytics, AI utilization, and digital transformation projects
- Coordinate with internal development teams, production support teams, and regional stakeholders
- Support vendor management, schedule coordination, and resource planning
- Contribute to platform optimization and data service improvement initiatives Required skills:
- 3+ years of system development experience using databases
- 3+ years of development experience using Java, Python, ETL, or related technologies
- Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, or data platform development
- Experience supporting system maintenance and operational activities
- Business-level English communication skills for email and chat
- Experience with Data Lake or streaming data technologies is preferred
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture, container technologies, or Agile development is a plus
- Infrastructure-related knowledge such as OS, networking, middleware, batch operations, and data integration is preferred
- Insurance industry experience is a plus
