A leading global insurance and asset management company is looking for an experienced Data Architect / Data Governance Team Lead to shape the future of its enterprise data architecture and governance.

Responsibilities:
-Assess and enhance current and future data systems in alignment with business strategy
-Lead enterprise data modeling across relational systems, including Star Schemas, SCDs, MDM domains, and data integration patterns
-Architect Azure-based data platforms (Landing, Staging, Refined zones)
-Serve as the central leader for major data migration and MDM initiatives
-Develop data mapping strategies, validation frameworks, audit trails, and quality controls
-Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Informatica, and Python
-Coordinate SMEs, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure timely, accurate migration to the new system
-Define and implement governance standards for data modeling, data quality, metadata, cataloging, MDM, and data sharing APIs
-Establish enterprise governance processes and ensure adoption across business departments
-Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data, business rules, and logic
-Maintain clear, well-structured documentation as part of strong knowledge management practices

Required Skills:
-Extensive expertise in data architecture and governance, including enterprise data modeling (Star Schema, SCD), MDM, metadata management, and designing cloud-based data platforms (Databricks, storage, databases)
-Proven leadership in large-scale data migration programs, with hands-on experience guiding ETL/ELT pipelines, defining data mapping/validation frameworks, and coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors
-Strong technical and communication capabilities: proficiency in Python and Databricks, deep understanding of OLTP/OLAP processes, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to lead and mentor data engineering teams
