The Cyber Security Defense Department of an IT Service firm is looking for a Senior Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager uses strong relationship management skills together with strategic and tactical acumen, whilst working with security teams and managers to handle projects and programs with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage security programs and security engineering projects which help to advance cyber security capabilities.
- Manage programs whilst working with program steering committees.
- Work with security engineers to develop project plans and manage their execution
- Manage communication among multiple stakeholders across different departments and regions
- Provide monthly program status updates to make sure the steering committee is aware
- Provide weekly project status updates to make sure sponsors/managers/teams are all aware
- Manage project and program risks, issues, and assumptions and take effective measures to mitigate and resolve them.
- Conduct retrospectives/lessons learned and put forward kaizen recommendations regarding project and program management
- Facilitate program steering committee decision making and governance.
- Understand how to tailor project and program approach to fit environment and organizational needs
Required Skills:
- Public Cloud technical and/or security experience/knowledge
- PMP or Prince 2 Practitioner certification
- 5-year combined experience in project and program management
- Experience of tailoring program governance to fit an organization
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and balancing their expectations as well as different requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skill – Must be comfortable developing relationships across multiple cultures
- Detail oriented to create clear scope and assumptions documentation
- Oversight, tracking, and reporting of multiple projects on a weekly basis using standard format
- Risk, issue, and assumption management
