A Global IT Service is looking for a Senior Manager (Operations). The ideal candidate will understand ‘as-is’ end-to-end business/process cycles, possess the ability to act effectively at various levels of detail, work constructively with cross-functional teams and senior management, facilitate problem-solving and decision-making and be actively involved in multiple project activities, such as owning project plans and requirements elicitation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient Workday solutions from an operational perspective, leveraging your experience in implementation, design, and operation
- Evaluate the system and business process architectures currently in place and collaborate with leadership, functional, and technical resources to recommend operational improvements, solutions, or strategies
- Develop, enhance, and maintain established service design procedures and processes by applying appropriate frameworks and methodologies
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to HRIS staff to ensure operational teams deliver efficient and effective solutions
- Prepare and present operational presentations and briefings
- Lead in the consistent use of internal tools for ticketing and config management
- Continuously partner with regional and global HRIS leadership to focus on short- and long-term impacts
- Ensure compliance with IT General Controls and Employee data privacy and security
- Lead or be involved in special projects as identified by the Global HRIS leadership team
- Stay updated on HR technology trends and recommend new systems and technologies to the Regional and Global Directors
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Must have experience implementing and optimizing operational processes on the Workday SaaS platform or similar platforms
- Must have experience developing operational protocols and processes to optimize the Workday or similar SaaS platform
- Experience in building Workday operational strategies and practices based on quality principles
- A 'hands-on' leader who can collaborate with peers and superiors to create strategies to develop and improve the HRIS function and HR experience
- Demonstrable success through collaboration with peers, HR, and IT partners
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to deliver information quickly to make data-driven, sound recommendations
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask, and remain flexible
- At least 5 years of success as a Workday or other SaaS platform Designer/Operational Leader in a multi-national, publicly traded company
- Track record of forming proactive and lasting relationships with HRIS, HR leadership, executives, and IT teams and vendors delivering Workday solutions
- Depth of understanding of procedural operations of the Workday or other SaaS platforms
- Track record of building a staff of Workday professionals and inspiring teamwork
- Understanding of HR data security and privacy, as well as IT General Controls and application to an HRIS organization
