A Leading Japanese Energy company is looking for an experienced Security Engineer to support day-to-day cybersecurity operations, incident response, and security governance as part of its enterprise security team. This position is suited for security professionals who enjoy operational security, cross-functional collaboration, and working within a large enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day cybersecurity operations across the enterprise environment
- Monitor and manage security vulnerabilities and remediation activities
- Operate vulnerability management tools (Tanium experience preferred)
- Support endpoint and infrastructure security initiatives
- Participate in CSIRT operations and security incident response activities
- Investigate, analyze, and coordinate responses to security incidents
- Work with infrastructure and application teams to resolve security issues
- Assist in post-incident reviews and continuous improvement activities
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures
- Support internal and external security audits
- Assist with risk assessments and compliance initiatives
- Maintain security documentation and operational procedures
- Work closely with internal business users and IT teams
- Communicate security risks and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
- Support ongoing improvements to enterprise security operations
Required Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- Experience with vulnerability management tools (Tanium preferred)
- Experience operating within a CSIRT environment
- Security incident response experience
- Experience creating and maintaining security policies and standards
- Experience supporting internal and external audits
- Strong understanding of enterprise security operations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
