One of Japan's larger IT Trading System provider is now looking for a Junior IT Governance Specialist position.
The ideal candidate will join the CIO Office team, to assist in strengthening our IT governance framework and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in overseeing IT compliance, managing risks, coordinating incident response, supporting business continuity planning (BCP), and contributing to IT budgeting and cost optimization.
Responsibilities:
- IT Governance & Compliance: Develop and enforce IT governance policies and frameworks; ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards in IT (e.g., ISO, NIST, IPA, FISC)
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and monitor IT and system risks; maintain the IT risk register; oversee supply chain/vendor risk management (SCRM) activities
- Auditing & Assurance: Work with internal auditors to conduct internal IT audits, support external/regulatory audits, and ensure timely remediation of findings
- Incident Management: Coordinate incident detection, escalation, and resolution; perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
- Business Continuity & Resilience: Support BCP/DR planning, testing, and readiness to ensure business and IT resilience
- Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Assist in Enterprise budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning to align spending with business objectives
- Project Management Support: Participate in IT and cross-functional projects, providing governance, risk, and compliance oversight to ensure project success
Required skills:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in IT Governance
- Familiarity with risk management, IT budgeting, and project management
