A major retail organization in Japan backed by a global investment group, is seeking a strong IT Infrastructure Project Support / PMO professional.
The company operates more than 10 stores nationwide and is focused on improving operational efficiency and customer service through the adoption of modern POS systems. The organization is actively introducing digitalization and automation technologies to address operational challenges and support continued business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage individual IT Infrastructure projects while also supporting PMO activities across multiple projects
- Manage implementation and upgrade projects for core business systems, including Finance and HR systems
- Manage Data Center implementation, migration, and operations projects
- Manage Network Infrastructure projects, including LAN/WAN and security-related infrastructure
- Coordinate schedules and resources between infrastructure vendors and internal IT teams
- Work with stakeholders to clarify project requirements
- Track project progress, identify issues, and support their resolution
- Guide and support project team members
- Support quality management and process improvement
- Create reports and dashboards covering progress and issues across multiple projects
- Develop and implement project management standards, templates, and processes
- Manage project tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project
- Support the introduction and impact assessment of new technologies, including Cloud Migration and Virtualization
- Identify and manage project risks, including Security and Availability risks
- Conduct post-project reviews and evaluate project outcomes
- Track project schedules and budgets and support delivery within agreed timelines and budgets
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of Project Management experience in IT Infrastructure projects such as Data Center, Network, or Core Business Systems. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is preferred
- Practical knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar PMO tools for project tracking and reporting
- Technical knowledge of Data Centers, Networks, and/or core business systems such as Finance or HR systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
