A Global Financial Service is seeking a IAM Operations Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will work as an Active Directory Operations Specialist to join its Microsoft Directory Services Operations function in Tokyo.
Reporting to the Global Manager of Microsoft Directory Services Operations based in London, the successful candidate will provide hands-on L3 operational support for Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID services across the Asia region.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical operational support for Microsoft Active Directory services
- Provide technical operational support for Microsoft Entra ID services
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot directory services at an L3 support level
- Monitor Active Directory and Entra ID environments, including replication, data feeds, system health, and performance
- Investigate and resolve directory-related incidents, service issues, and data inconsistencies
- Handle user and application-related directory service enquiries and technical escalations
- Support authentication, identity, and access-related issues
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and resilience activities
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when required
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, authentication, connectivity, and directory service problems
- Manage incident response and escalation procedures for identity-related issues
- Maintain incident response and recovery procedures
- Support internal and external technology audits
Required skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience operating Active Directory and related services
- Experience supporting Active Directory within financial services, banking, or another high-security environment
- Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server / Windows OS, including: Application installation, Performance tuning, Troubleshooting, System monitoring
