One of Japan's larger IT Trading System providers is now looking for a Database Administrator to join its Database Administration team.
Working alongside our systems engineers, you will handle day-to-day operations, performance monitoring, and recovery setups across our data stack. A big part of the job involves helping developers with smooth deployments, writing clear documentation for maintenance tasks, and stepping in when complex database issues crop up. You'll also take turns in our team’s on-call rotation to keep our systems dependable.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor, back up, restore, and troubleshoot core technologies across our database and data warehouse systems
- Write down, plan, and execute routine maintenance tasks, system updates, and database migrations
- Fine-tune system performance and keep our Linux-based database environments running reliably
- Support the development teams as an application DBA with query tuning, basic schema design, and troubleshooting
- Help automate repetitive setup work using tools like Puppet or Ansible where it makes sense

Required skills:
- Proven hands-on experience managing Linux-based systems alongside database administration, performance tuning, and backup/restoration workflows
- Familiarity with modern DevOps automation tools (Puppet/Ansible) and general software development capabilities
