A Global Insurance Leader is modernizing its enterprise data practices to build trusted, scalable, and AI-ready data ecosystems. To achieve this, it is looking for a talented Data Governance & Data Modeling Specialist
who will play a key role in ensuring data assets are structured, governed, discoverable, and highly secure.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enforce enterprise data management standards, policies, and best practices
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives
- Implement and govern metadata management processes to improve data discoverability, lineage, and transparency
- Collaborate with Data Product teams, Data Engineers, Architects, and business stakeholders to ensure consistent data structures and definitions
- Define and maintain enterprise data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata repositories
- Support data governance activities including data quality, ownership, stewardship, privacy, and compliance requirements
- Promote Data Vault, dimensional modeling, and other modern data modeling methodologies across the organization
- Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure appropriate controls for sensitive and regulated data
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Governance, enterprise Data Management frameworks, or Data Modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical)
- Proven experience with Data Vault modeling methodologies, metadata management, and data catalog tools
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, with a solid understanding of relational/non-relational databases and ETL/ELT processes
- Business Level Japanese (N2 or above) is required; Good to Have English skills
