A Global IT Service firm is seeking a Cloud/DevOps Engineer who will collaborate closely with developers, stakeholders, and management to design strategic implementations, enhance existing systems, and champion best practices across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of software applications and systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Join project planning and provide support for resolving technical issues and mitigating risks
- Manage infrastructure using an "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC)
- Provide comprehensive support to our customers and monitoring team through daily monitoring, troubleshooting complex, cross-organizational problems, and performance tuning
- Manage critical on-premises and public cloud data infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and high Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence without business impact
Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Expertise with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Strong background in software engineering, system engineering, DevOps engineering, or a related computer science engineering field
- Proven experience in a dedicated DevOps or simir role
- Proficient with CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, FluxCD, etc.
- Strong experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically GCP
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to build and manage complex cloud infrastructure, particularly on GCP
- Proficient with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform
- Experience with on-call incident management procedures
- Proficient in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting commonly used Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) such as Hashicorp Vault, Redis, PostgreSQL, etc.
