A Global IT Service is looking for a Backend Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of developers to deliver scalable, high-performance backend solutions
- Collaborate with bilingual teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication in Japanese and English
- Drive technical design, code reviews, and best practices for backend and API development
Required Skills:
- Backend Development: Strong hands-on experience with Java 8, RESTful API design and implementation
- Frontend Integration: Working knowledge of JavaScript for seamless integration with backend services
- Database Expertise: Proficient in writing complex SQL queries in Oracle Database
- API Development: Experience in designing and managing secure, efficient APIs for enterprise applications
- Application Servers: Hands-on experience with WebLogic Server for deployment and configuration
- Frameworks: Preferably familiar with Spring Boot for building production-grade backend services
- Additional Skills: Understanding of performance tuning, scalability, and security best practices
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
