A Global IT Automotive is looking for a capable and detail-oriented Application Development Support Engineer with experience supporting business-critical applications and the ability to contribute to minor development and enhancement activities.

This role combines L1/L2 application support responsibilities with light development and enhancement work. The engineer will play a key role in maintaining stable application operations, investigating defects, troubleshooting integration issues, and contributing to small functional improvements. The position is well suited for candidates who are comfortable working across both support and technical analysis tasks while possessing sufficient coding ability to implement minor fixes and adjustments.

Responsibilities:
- Provide L1/L2 support for manufacturing and IoT-related applications supporting production operations
- Monitor application behavior and respond to incidents to ensure minimal disruption to business processes
- Investigate and troubleshoot application, data, and integration issues across frontend, backend, and API layers
- Perform deeper technical analysis of recurring defects and operational problems
- Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to drive timely issue resolution
- Analyze logs, error patterns, and system behavior to identify root causes of issues
- Support debugging of application and service-level failures
- Assist in validating fixes and verifying system stability after resolution
- Implement minor enhancements, small functional changes, and bug fixes when required
- Support patches, performance improvements, and version upgrades
- Participate in testing, validation, and release activities
- Maintain technical documentation, incident records, and knowledge base updates
- Support change management and release tracking processes
- Collaborate closely with operations, business users, and internal IT teams

Required Skills:
- 3–6+ years of experience in application support, development support, or sustaining engineering roles
- Ability to read, understand, and modify code at a basic to intermediate level
- Exposure to modern application environments (web applications / service-based architectures)
- Working familiarity with technologies such as React, Angular, TypeScript, .NET, Java, or Node.js
- Understanding of APIs, integrations, and backend services (REST required; GraphQL / gRPC awareness beneficial)
- Basic SQL knowledge and ability to investigate data-related issues
- Experience handling incidents, defects, and production issues
- Basic familiarity with CI/CD or DevOps workflows (Azure DevOps or similar)
- Experience working with ITSM / ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
