Description
An American Sportswear firm is looking for Senior Software Analyst position at Tokyo Office.
This role is responsible for supporting omni-channel systems (POS, E-commerce, CRM) and managing related issues and support activities.
The position includes supervising application development, testing, maintenance, and support for business applications. It also involves managing testing activities aligned with DevOps principles and ensuring continuous, high-velocity delivery through automation and deployment tools.
Responsibilities:
- Provide software application support
- Analyze application functionality and propose improvements or replacements
- Ensure both front-end and back-end application performance
- Work with vendors and internal users to enhance performance
- Identify root causes of application issues and escalate when necessary
- Identify manual processes and propose automation solutions
- Develop automation scripts using standard tools
- Collaborate with Application Manager to create test strategies
- Validate test scenarios (UT/IT) created by vendors
- Prepare ST/UAT test scenarios with business stakeholders
- Manage configuration changes and schedule updates
- Document processes and monitor performance metrics
- Provide support to business users and internal departments
- Deliver training and create/update user manuals
Required skills:
- 5 years of experience in project leadership (including vendor coordination and business communication)
- 3 years of experience in application development and L2 support
- 3 years of experience in testing (manual and automation)
- Knowledge of databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, DDL)
- Experience in retail systems (POS, E-commerce, CRM) preferred
- Programming/scripting experience: PowerShell, Python, C#, JavaScript, R, .NET, Java
- Experience with test management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong multitasking ability
