A Global IT Service firm. is seeking a highly skilled Web Application and Backend Engineer to join the Business Support Development Department
This position offers a rare opportunity to work on a high-scale, high-responsibility system at the core of Rakuten’s e-commerce ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Propose technical solutions and system designs aligned with business requirements
- Design APIs, database schemas, and service architectures for complex OMS functionalities
- Develop new features across backend services and web applications using C# and .NET
- Lead refactoring efforts to improve performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
- Contribute to ongoing system re-architecture and cloud migration initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure continuous operation of a mission-critical system
- Ensure strict data integrity, security, and personal information protection
- Take full ownership of feature quality from design through production operation
Required skills:
- Strong understanding of IT fundamentals and the software development lifecycle
- Experience developing and operating mission-critical systems with high transaction volumes
- Solid knowledge of web security and personal data protection
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with C#, especially Web API development
- Experience with ASP.NET (Web API / MVC), .NET Framework, .NET Core, and .NET 6+
- Consistent application of SOLID principles
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Experience with cloud-based application development (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong experience with MS SQL Server, T/SQL, and ORMs such as Entity Framework / Dapper

Work Hours : 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Flextime or staggered working hours possible)
Work Style : Hybrid (Typically 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home)
