Description
A global automotive company is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Application Development) to design and implement modern software solutions that replace or extend legacy enterprise applications as part of its large-scale digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy modern enterprise applications
- Build scalable applications using technologies such as Java Spring Boot, .NET Core, or Node.js
- Refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability, scalability, performance, and cloud compatibility
- Ensure applications meet required performance, availability, security, and reliability standards
- Document development practices, APIs, and architecture decisions to support long-term maintainability
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices connecting legacy and modern applications
- Support interoperability between existing enterprise platforms and newly developed systems
- Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
- Work with architects and analysts to translate business requirements into modern system designs
- Support application deployment across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting continuous integration and delivery
- Apply Agile and DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle
- Utilize automated testing frameworks to maintain application quality and reliability
- Support scalable deployments across hybrid and cloud environments
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, operations teams, and business stakeholders within Agile teams
- Coordinate with external development partners, vendors, and solution providers
- Report project progress, technical risks, and proposed innovations to relevant stakeholders
- Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, and serverless computing to enhance modernization initiatives
- Contribute to global modernization best practices and reusable technology frameworks
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of enterprise software development experience, ideally in application modernization
- Strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS/Azure/GCP
- Experience with legacy application modernization, system integration, and cloud migration
- Experience with Agile/DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Experience with SAP technologies/modules; SAP IBP strongly preferred
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
