Description
A Global IT Service is looking for a SRE/DevOps Engineer . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Chef, expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and a strong background in managing production servers. Additionally, the candidate must have hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Squid proxy server management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks and Chef cookbooks for configuration management and automation. Ensure consistency and reliability in server configurations across environments
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing, deployment, and monitoring into the pipelines
- Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker
- Design and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
- Manage and maintain production servers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
- Configure and manage Squid proxy servers for caching, filtering, and optimizing network traffic
- Monitor server health, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime
Required Skills:
- Proven experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and experience managing production servers
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration
- Experience configuring and managing Squid proxy servers
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Solid understanding of networking, system security, and troubleshooting
