Description
A Global IT Service firm is looking for a Senior Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Forecast resources for objective achievement and manage resources efficiently and effectively
- Formulate and manage project budgets, analyze variances from actuals, and implement corrective actions
- Develop and execute resource allocation strategies to maximize cost-effectiveness
- Design and manage detailed project plans and operational plans based on priorities received from the Product Manager
- Provide regular project reports (strategy, coordination, progress, etc.) to various stakeholders
- Build strong relationships and manage expectations with key stakeholders (business divisions, department heads, product owners, etc.)
- Understand stakeholder needs and concerns and incorporate them into project plans
- Conduct projects using various methods and techniques, including best practices and standard methodologies
- Manage progress and make adjustments as necessary
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement within the project
- Identify, assess, and develop and execute response plans for project risks
- Coordinate with stakeholders and build consensus to facilitate smooth project approval processes
- Propose improvements and efficiencies for the approval process
- Clearly define risks and issues, provide necessary information, and fulfill accountability for approvals
- Respond to troubles (create reports, escalate to stakeholders, create recurrence prevention measures)
Required Skills:
- Over 5 years of practical project management experience, managing the entire project lifecycle from initiation to planning, execution, monitoring, and completion
- Experience with release, maintenance, and troubleshooting (including on-call duties) for 24/7 internet services
- Experience managing the entire product lifecycle (planning, development, delivery, operation) as a project
- High communication skills, capable of smoothly collaborating and coordinating with diverse stakeholders including software engineers, product managers, business divisions, and clients
- Ability to remain calm and composed in complex situations and lead constructive discussions
- A clear understanding of your job scope and responsibilities, with strong ownership to drive projects and commit to results
- Ability to proactively seek solutions and take responsibility for unexpected problems and difficulties
- Proficiency in Agile development frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and other best-practice project management methodologies
- Ability to effectively utilize project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and related software tools
- Ability to analyze complex situations and multifaceted information to identify the root cause of problems
- Ability to formulate and execute practical solutions based on logical thinking
