A Global Financial firm is seeking a Vice President – Senior Production Services Manager – Core Corporate to join their team.
The ideal candidate will work as a Senior Production Services Manager to lead the Japan regional Production Services team supporting its Core Corporate divisions, including Compliance, Surveillance, Legal, Audit, and other critical corporate functions.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Japan regional Production Services team supporting Core Corporate applications and systems
- Provide strategic leadership, governance, and operational oversight for 1st and 2nd line production support
- Ensure high availability, stability, performance, and reliability of critical production services
- Support applications and platforms used across Compliance, Surveillance, Legal, Audit, and corporate functions
- Work within a global follow-the-sun support model, coordinating effectively with regional and global technology teams
- Establish and continuously improve production support processes, controls, and service management practices
- Proactively identify operational risks, recurring issues, and opportunities for service improvement
- Drive IT automation and AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual support activities
- Lead incident, problem, and service management activities and ensure timely resolution of critical production issues
- Develop and implement strategies for continual service improvement using data, automation, and emerging technologies
- Mentor, coach, and develop technical talent within the Production Services organization
- Promote continuous learning and upskilling to ensure the team remains aligned with evolving technologies
- Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, DevOps, security, compliance, and business teams
- Support technology transformation initiatives and adoption of modern cloud and automation technologies
- Ensure adherence to ITIL, operational risk, governance, and production support standards
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across Japan and global teams

Required skills:
- Candidates should have strong experience in at least one of the following areas: Production Support / Production Services Management, Compliance / Regulatory technology domain, AI-driven automation within a production environment
- Production Support / IT Operations Management – strong experience managing production environments, incident/problem management, and service stability
- Windows, Unix & Linux – solid understanding of enterprise operating systems and troubleshooting
- Scripting & Automation – Python, Shell scripting, and/or Perl; ability to automate operational tasks
- SQL & Databases – good working knowledge of databases and ability to write SQL queries
- Cloud Technologies – working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms
- DevOps Tools – experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Elastic, Jira, etc.
- IT Automation / AI Automation – demonstrated experience implementing automation or AI-driven automation in a production environment
- Monitoring & Reliability – knowledge of production monitoring, troubleshooting, service reliability, and preferably SRE principles
- Job Scheduling – experience with AutoSys setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
- ITIL / IT Service Management – strong understanding of ITIL-based incident, problem, change, and service management
- Agile – working knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices

Working Hours:  08:40 – 17:40
Workstyle: By principle, it will be 1 day working in office, 4 days working from home (Depending on nature of the job, it will be decided by department head)
