Description
A Global IT Service firm is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Container Platform Group, which provides a large-scale Kubernetes-based container platform running on a private cloud.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who can contribute across both Golang software development and Linux/Kubernetes/Istio infrastructure operations, supporting mission-critical services used by millions of users worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Full SDLC (Requirement, Design, Implementation, Test, Release)
- Cluster/Node auto provisioning
- OS/Middleware auto upgrade
- Self-healing
- Node/Cluster Provisioning
- Alert/Incident Handling. OnCall (Partner Staff: during business hours. Regular Employee: 24x7, daily rotation, roughly once a week.)
- Trouble Countermeasure Establishment + Implementation
- OS/Middleware Update
- Security Requirement Achievement
- Midnight Release, Midnight Monitoring
- Operation Manual Creation / Getting Approval for Production Operation
- Provide Layer 3 technical support
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of software development experience (requirement definition, design, test, implementation, release) with statically typed programming language such as Java, C++, Golang, Rust, etc. 2 languages or more.
- 3+ years of "operations" experience with large-scale mission-critical systems (e.g., cloud infrastructure, banking, telecommunications)
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Holder *1
- Basic knowledge of networking and TCP/IP
