Description
A global fashion retail company is seeking a Generative AI Specialist for its internal Digital Business Transformation Services Department.
Responsibilities:
- Define business challenges: Work closely with frontline teams to deeply understand business processes and identify key issues
- Design, implement, and validate models/agents (including data collection and preprocessing when necessary)
- Drive business implementation: Propose solutions to stakeholders and lead execution through to value creation and system integration
- Research technology trends through academic papers and international conferences; formulate technical strategies and design guidelines
- Design and propose solutions for technical and accuracy challenges in individual projects (including hands-on implementation as needed)
- Develop evaluation frameworks (automated and human evaluation), establish improvement cycles, and ensure reproducible quality
- Provide consultation and reviews for internal use of generative AI
- Conduct internal AI training, team building, and talent development (designing materials, exercises, and OJT programs)
- Enhance customer experience on e-commerce platforms through agentic commerce adaptation
- Build agents to support store staff and customers
- Develop agents for anomaly detection in production, sales, and logistics planning, and support stakeholder communication and actions
- Develop decision-support agents operating on a “management cockpit” that visualizes company-wide executive information
- Develop AI agents to thoroughly automate company-wide general operations
- Deploy AI-driven development tools
- Design and build multi-agent AI infrastructure with proper access control
- Build AI-ready data platforms incorporating ontologies and GraphRAG
Required Skills:
- Practical experience as a data scientist (approximately 5+ years)
- Expertise in generative AI technologies centered on LLMs/agents, including hands-on experience with:
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- Tool integration (e.g., function calling, MCP)
- PEFT methods such as LoRA
- Fine-tuning
- Ontologies
- Experience defining problems in collaboration with business teams and driving execution through to measurable outcomes
- Ability to abstract complex, ambiguous problems and independently design analytical/data models
- Strong documentation and presentation skills to align with executives and business units and drive operational improvements
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse team members in both Japanese and English

Working Hours: Flexible working hours (core time 9:00–14:00), Monday–Friday
