Description
A Global IT Service firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-end (Java) Engineer to join a team responsible for developing and operating critical backend systems within the Ecommerce platform.
This role focuses on building and maintaining APIs, consumers, and batch systems that handle order data creation and cart data storage
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and release systems in alignment with business requirements
- Develop and operate backend APIs, consumer services, and batch systems for the checkout platform
- Perform system operations, including troubleshooting and incident response
- Collaborate proactively with QA, Product Managers, and other engineers
- Lead engineering efforts and contribute to project delivery as a senior team member
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability of code
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Java EE development
- Hands-on experience in developing and operating RESTful Web APIs
- Experience in operating large-scale online systems, including incident handling
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Ability to independently design and develop high-performance, reliable, and maintainable systems
- Proven senior-level engineering experience with leadership capabilities, including driving projects and collaborating across teams
