A leading cloud-based security firm is looking for an experienced S alesforce Engineer (Core Business Systems Development Engineer / Engineering Lead).
Salesforce is a central tool for business expansion, supporting rapid decision-making not only for updates to existing services but also for the launch of new services.
We are looking for someone who can use their Salesforce knowledge and experience to support the foundations of a new business growth, rather than simply handling routine system operations.
Responsibilities:
- Salesforce customisation and learning: Apply experience with implementation vendors and development knowledge, such as Java, to create Salesforce Flows and develop applications using Apex, Salesforce's programming language
- Handling core business system logic: Organise complex requirements specific to large-scale, mission-critical enterprise systems, produce accurate specifications, and complete testing and releases
- Independent skills development: Work towards becoming a Salesforce expert through practical experience, eventually proposing improvements to business teams, such as Sales, and explaining the rationale behind those proposals
- Take responsibility for Salesforce customisation development across the business. Your internal stakeholders will include members of the Product Management, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams
Required skills:
- At least three years of professional development experience using Apex or Java
- Experience implementing complex logic in enterprise-level systems
- Experience developing core business systems, such as sales and order management, inventory and logistics management, production management, or accounting and finance systems
- A relevant development qualification or certification, such as Java SE certification or another programming-related qualification that objectively demonstrates technical ability
- Strong attention to detail and reliable execution: The ability to carry out development and testing thoroughly and accurately in accordance with specifications, with a strong sense of responsibility
- Experience leading projects and other team members as a project manager or team leader
- Experience discussing requirements with customers or other departments and translating them into formal requirements definitions
- Salesforce certifications, particularly Platform Developer certifications
