Description
A global leader in legal, tax, compliance, risk, and professional information solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead Consultant to take end-to-end technical ownership of a solution implementations for enterprise customers in the Japan market.
The role requires a strong combination of solution architecture, enterprise integration expertise, technical leadership, and customer-facing consulting skills. The successful candidate will act as the primary technical authority, designing scalable solutions, ensuring implementation quality, and guiding delivery teams across Japan and the Asia & Emerging Markets (AEM) region.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end technical solution design and architecture for our product customer implementations
- Translate customer business requirements related to Import/Export Compliance, Trade Controls, and Free Trade Agreements (FTA) into scalable and compliant technical solutions
- Define and document solution architecture, system integrations, data flows, interface specifications, and technical designs
- Ensure solutions align with the product capabilities, enterprise architecture standards, and implementation best practices
- Provide technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, go-live, and post-production stabilization
- Review and validate technical deliverables to ensure quality, performance, security, scalability, and maintainability
- Identify technical risks, provide mitigation strategies, and support resolution of complex technical issues
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for implementation challenges
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership to delivery teams across Japan and AEM regions
- Collaborate closely with project managers, functional consultants, developers, product teams, and global delivery teams
- Engage directly with customers as a trusted technical advisor by leading technical workshops, architecture discussions, solution walkthroughs, and design sessions
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support successful delivery of enterprise GTM solutions while maintaining strong customer relationships
Required Skills:
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Lead Consultant, Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or Design Consultant implementing enterprise SaaS solutions
- Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise software implementations, particularly ERP, compliance, trade, or supply chain solutions
- Hands-on experience integrating enterprise applications with SAP, Oracle ERP, and other custom systems
- Solid understanding of Global Trade Management (GTM), including Import/Export Compliance, Trade Controls, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) processes
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, XML, data mapping, APIs, and integration technologies
- Good understanding of enterprise IT architecture, system integration patterns, and application design principles
- Experience producing technical documentation, including solution architecture, integration specifications, and data flow designs
- Ability to lead technical workshops, review technical deliverables, and provide guidance to development and implementation teams
