Description
A global leader in legal, tax, compliance, risk, and professional information solutions, is seeking an experienced and bilingual Project Manager to lead enterprise software implementation and integration projects for its platform across Japan.
You will work closely with customers, consultants, technical teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure successful software implementations while managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and customer expectations. In addition to project delivery, this role will provide leadership and mentoring to the local Professional Services and Technology teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end implementation and integration projects for software solutions
- Manage multiple concurrent client projects while ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
- Support pre-sales activities by participating in solution discussions, technical due diligence, effort estimation, and Statement of Work (SOW) preparation
- Define, review, and manage project scope, implementation plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively managing project issues and change requests
- Coordinate project resources and collaborate closely with customers, consultants, technical teams, and executive stakeholders
- Lead business process discovery sessions, functional requirement workshops, and solution design discussions with clients
- Deliver client training sessions and facilitate successful user adoption
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to sponsors, steering committees, and senior management
- Manage customer expectations throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Coach, mentor, and provide leadership to local Professional Services and Technology teams
- Ensure projects follow established implementation methodologies and project governance standards
- Drive continuous improvement of project delivery processes and best practices
Required Skills:
- 5–10 years of Project Management experience leading complex, customer-facing enterprise software implementation projects
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end implementation projects involving ERP, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Logistics Management, Global Trade Management (GTM), or other enterprise software solutions
- Strong understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software implementation methodologies, and project lifecycle management
- Experience working within Consulting or Professional Services organizations, delivering enterprise software solutions for external clients
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing scope, timelines, budgets, resources, quality, and customer expectations
- Hands-on experience with project planning, scheduling, resource management, budgeting, risk management, issue resolution, change management, and project governance
- Experience supporting pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, technical due diligence, effort estimation, and Statement of Work (SOW) preparation
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional workshops, solution design, process mapping, and client training
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, consultants, technical teams, business leaders, sponsors, and executive management
