Description
A leading global technology and telecommunications company is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its CIO Office and lead strategic technology initiatives, including projects related to AI transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic technology projects from planning through execution and completion
- Develop project plans, manage progress, identify risks and issues, and drive projects toward successful delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and relevant internal departments
- Investigate and analyze existing IT environments and business processes to identify opportunities and challenges
- Propose and implement technical and operational solutions aligned with business and technology strategies
- Coordinate with global teams and stakeholders in a bilingual Japanese and English environment
- Lead team members and facilitate effective collaboration across multiple functions
- Proactively acquire knowledge and adapt to unfamiliar technologies, business domains, and methodologies
- Identify issues independently and take proactive action to drive resolution
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in project management
- Experience leading team members as a team lead or in an equivalent capacity
- Basic knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMP or PRINCE2
- Strong ability to independently learn and take action in unfamiliar domains
- Strong logical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to identify issues proactively and drive projects through to completion
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
- English proficiency sufficient to coordinate effectively with relevant departments
