Description
The Business Support Development Department of a global IT services company is seeking an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of an accounting and billing system product specialized for the SAP S/4HANA environment. The company is currently executing a migration project from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA, scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.
Responsibilities:
- Define and manage the product roadmap for the accounting and billing system in the SAP S/4HANA environment
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into detailed functional specifications and user stories
- Collaborate with development teams and other stakeholders to design, develop, and implement solutions within S/4HANA
- Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business goals
- Configure and customize SAP S/4HANA modules (FI/SD/MM) to meet specific business needs
- Plan and execute data migration from ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA
- Manage integration with other systems, including commerce platforms, CRM (e.g., Salesforce.com), and internal applications
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategic optimizations
- Manage change requests and ensure proper documentation of system configurations and processes
- Provide training and support to end users on the SAP S/4HANA system
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP S/4HANA features and capabilities and leverage them for business benefit
Required Skills:
- Over 5 years of experience with the SAP FI module and ability to independently customize it
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Experience designing and testing SAP S/4HANA add-on features through side-by-side extensions (BTP) and in-app (on-stack) extensions
- Knowledge of standard SAP APIs and OData, along with experience in customizing/expanding them
- Experience in designing SAP Fiori screens
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and Japanese bookkeeping (Nissho Boki)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
