Description
A global insurance company is looking for a Lead AI Engineer to drive enterprise AI transformation and deliver AI-powered solutions from business discovery through production. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating business challenges into practical AI solutions, defining MVPs and architectures, and leading delivery across LLM, Agentic AI, and cloud technologies. You will work closely with business leaders, IT, Security, Architecture, Compliance, and vendors while providing technical leadership to AI engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops and translate business challenges into AI solutions and MVPs
- Define solution scope, architecture, requirements, delivery roadmaps, and technical options
- Lead the design and delivery of LLM and Agentic AI solutions
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across Python, LLMs, RAG, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud platforms
- Guide engineers through design reviews, development, testing, deployment, and production handover
- Lead Agile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and progress tracking
- Collaborate with Business, IT, Security, Compliance, Architecture, and external vendors
- Support Build vs. Buy decisions and evaluate technical and business feasibility
Required Skills
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years leading AI initiatives in an enterprise environment
- Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, Prompt Engineering, and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen
- Strong experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, with Azure preferred
- Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, data pipelines, CI/CD, and production AI deployment
- Proven experience translating business requirements into AI solutions and leading end-to-end delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams
