An American multinational investment bank and financial services company with a global presence is seeking a Java Developer (SQL, Linux)
Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing and maintaining Java-based applications
- Taking ownership of delivery of the initiatives across the full software development lifecycle
- Working on a project onboarding and integrating within an internal platform into the firm’s environment
- As well as developing code from scratch also help with testing, code reviews, design and support
- Working within the old legacy technical stack and utilizing some new technology to the environment like Kafka and Kubernetes
Required Skills:
- 2-4 years Java Development
- Able to perform strong hands on coding and logic, without AI tool assistance
- Hands on skills/experience with SQL
- Comfortable in Linux environments
- Relevant work experience in a team-focused environment
- Strong object-oriented design and programming skills and experience in OO languages (Java)
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to interface with users for testing, verification, completion.
- Strong work ethic
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Well-developed communication skills
- Proactive in sharing updates and initiating escalations.
- English: Business level (Read, write, speak) / Japanese: Not needed (nice to have)
