A world’s leading general Insurance service provider, is looking for a talented & bilingual IT Audit Manager to join the Audit Group in Japan.
The IT Audit Manager will conduct audits across the Technology and Information Security environment, identifying key technology risks and assessing whether appropriate controls are in place.
The role will also support audit and risk reviews related to IT modernization, cloud migration, cybersecurity, and technology transformation initiatives in Japan.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full IT audit lifecycle – planning, risk assessment, control testing, reporting, and issue followup.
- Assess technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, and IT control risks.
- Review major IT transformation and cloud migration initiatives.
- Support the annual riskbased IT audit plan.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of technology controls and identify control gaps.
- Present audit findings and recommendations to IT and senior management.
- Work closely with Technology, Security, Risk, and other internal stakeholders.
- Monitor emerging technology and regulatory risks affecting the organization.
- Use data analytics, automation, and AI where appropriate to improve audit activities.
Required Skills:
- 5–8 years of IT Audit, Technology Risk, IT Controls, or relevant Technology experience.
- Strong understanding of IT risk, controls, governance, and audit processes.
- Experience with Cloud (AWS and/or GCP) audits is preferred.
- Cybersecurity audit/risk experience is preferred.
- Experience in financial services or insurance is an advantage.
- Experience using data analytics within audit or risk is a plus.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP or similar certification preferred/expected; otherwise, must be obtained within 12 months of joining.
- Ability to work independently in an international environment.

Location: Tokyo
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
Working Style: Mostly work from office (4 days in office, 1 day work from home)
