Description
A Global IT Service firm is seeking an experienced Data Engineer . The Data Solution Group manages various data pipelines that primarily process item and order data inputted by merchants on e-commerce platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Detailed system design
- Development, unit testing, and integration testing
- Create documents such as technical specifications and operation manuals
Required skills:
- 4+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering with a focus on data.
- Strong proficiency in Java (version 1.8 or higher).
- Proven ability to write high-quality code with a strong consideration for performance, maintainability, and security.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit).
- Experience with creating batch applications in Java.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Hbase).
- Solid understanding of database schema design, SQL tuning, and performance evaluation.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and related services (e.g., Dataflow, Cloud Run, Bigtable, BigQuery, Pub/Sub).
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Experience working in a team environment, collaborating on detailed design, coding and review.
- Experience with Apache Beam (e.g., Dataflow). (Nice to have)
- Experience with large-scale data processing systems (e.g., Apache Spark). (Nice to have)
- Experience with API development (RESTful APIs). (Nice to have)
- Experience with front-end development (e.g., Vue.js, React). (Nice to have)
- Proficiency in Python.
