Description
A Global Asset Management is seeking a bilingual Data Engineer for their Global Data Systems and Solutions team responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and support of globally aligned information systems handling shared fund and investment related data, such as fund and account attributes, holdings, transactions, market data, as well as risk/performance metrics.
The team receives data from different sources (internal and external), manages them as Data Steward across multiple applications, and publishes them to users and downstream systems globally
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the EDM solution by assessing existing data infrastructure, identifying key data sources and flows, and advising on optimal target architecture
- Collaborate with global IT, data teams, and stewards to define, document, and validate data requirements and database solutions
- Ensure end-to-end alignment between logical models and physical integration within the EDM’s layered architecture
- Establish global operating standards & support the transition to the new EDM model across the firm
- Prepare implementation artifacts including workflows, use cases, test scenarios, and reports
- Coordinate with vendors on development, testing, and deployment
- Assess data quality for consistency, completeness, and accuracy, and develop process improvements for data management
- Support production workflows and incident management, and help enforce data management policies and procedures
Required Skills:
- 5 years back-end development experience with Python & SQL with exposure to full SDLC
- Relational database experience, preferably with MS SQL, and data modelling
- Operational experience as a Data Steward
- Experience in creating technical documentation, including design specifications and test cases.
- Familiar with design patterns, domain driven design & software development best practices
- Knowledge in Data Management and Project Management
