Description
A Global Insurance firm is looking for an experienced D ata Architect / Data & AI Architecture Specialist to support the evolution of its enterprise Data and AI architecture across both Life and P&C businesses.
The role will contribute to defining and maintaining theTarget Data Architecture and related architecture blueprints, ensuring that data solutions are aligned with business strategy, IT strategy, and the overall technology roadmap.
Working closely with the Chief Architect, Tribe Architects, Product Owners, and technology teams, the Data Architect will translate business requirements and user stories into appropriate, scalable, secure, and reusable data solutions
Responsibilities:
- Support the Chief Architect in evaluating and making data architecture decisions
- Define, maintain, and continuously improve theTarget Data Architecture and architecture blueprints
- Design and develop data architecture solutions that support business strategy and business use cases
- Translate business requirements and user stories into practical end-to-end data architecture solutions
- Work closely with Tribe Architects, Product Owners, developers, data engineers, and other technology stakeholders to ensure solutions align with the overall IT strategy and roadmap
- Contribute to enterprise data modeling, Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, metadata management, and data lifecycle management
- Support the design and evolution of Data Lakehouse and cloud-based data platforms
- Contribute to the architecture of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, APIs, data integration, analytics, BI, and data visualization solutions
- Support the adoption and implementation of AI, Generative AI, RAG, and Agentic AI capabilities from a data architecture perspective
- Identify opportunities to reuse existing technology assets, data platforms, and capabilities to accelerate delivery and reduce duplication and technical waste
- Contribute to architecture governance processes and promote convergence toward the Target Architecture and approved technology blueprints
- Work with Tribe Architects to identify business capability gaps and recommend appropriate technology and data solutions
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance and technical direction to developers and squads
Required Skills:
- TOGAF certification or 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering / Data Management / Enterprise Architecture
- Strong knowledge of Data Management and Data Lifecycle Management methodologies
- Proven experience in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and data platform design
- Understanding of insurance data models and insurance business processes/value chains, preferably within Life and/or P&C insurance
- Practical knowledge of Data Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, APIs, metadata management, Master Data Management, and Reference Data Management
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent technologies
- Good understanding of AI solutions, including Generative AI, RAG, Agentic AI, and the data architecture required to support them
- Knowledge of data security concepts including data masking, encryption, access control, and secure data architecture
- Understanding of GDPR, AI-related regulations, PIP and data privacy requirements
- Ability to design end-to-end data architecture solutions using modern cloud and data technologies
- Knowledge of architecture principles, standards, patterns, artifacts, and architecture governance
