Description
A Global IT Service firm is seeking a highly skilled Cloud SecOps Security Engineer to join the Cyber Security Defense Department (CSDD).
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and automating scalable security solutions across global cloud platforms and development environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop automated security solutions to integrate security checks directly into the developer workflow
- Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, ensuring security is "baked-in" via Terraform and policy-as-code
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security scanning tools
- Define and enforce security standards for Docker and Kubernetes environments, including runtime protection and image security
- Develop automated scripts and workflows to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across our global cloud footprint
- Build custom integrations between security tools (e.g. network scanner, ASM, EDR) to provide real-time security observability for product teams
- Act as a security subject matter expert, guiding development teams on secure coding patterns and cloud-native security best practices
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate security requirements into high-performance engineering solutions
Required skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or security engineering
- Experience in programming with one or more languages, such as C#, Java, PHP, Python, and JavaScript (specifically for automation, scripting, and tool development)
- Hands-on experience securing Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure cloud environments
- Proven expertise in Docker and Kubernetes orchestration and security
- Proven expertise in Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning
- Strong "Security as Code" mindset, you view manual tasks as failures in automation and strive to build self-service security capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in English with the ability to articulate complex engineering concepts to diverse stakeholders
