A cutting-edge Healthtech start-up is looking for Biosensor Engineer .
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and test electrochemical biosensors (enzyme immobilization, electrode surface modification).
- Design and conduct benchtop experiments using artificial saliva and spiked analytes.
- Build or adapt potentiostat circuits/dev kits for amperometric detection.
- Develop basic embedded firmware (Arduino, STM32, or Nordic MCU) for data logging.
- Analyze biosensor data and generate concentration–response curves.
- Identify and troubleshoot sources of noise/interference.
- Document experimental results and propose optimization strategies.
Required Skills:
(1) Electrochemistry & Biosensors
- Strong foundation in electrochemistry or biosensor development (academic or industry)
- Practical experience with enzyme-based sensors (glucose oxidase, lactate oxidase, urease)
- Proficiency with biosensor testing equipment (potentiostats, impedance analyzers, UV-Vis)
- Understanding of saliva chemistry and its impact on biosensor performance (pH variability, biofouling)
(2) Microfabrication & Materials
- Experience with microsystems or microfabrication (MEMS, screen-printing, thin-film deposition, 3D printing)
- Experience with flexible or screen-printed electrodes
- Familiarity with microfluidics or sampling techniques (capillary flow, wicking channels)
(3) Electronics & Embedded Systems
- Hands-on electronics: breadboarding, analog front-end circuits, ADC integration
- Build or adapt potentiostat circuits/dev kits for amperometric detection
- Basic embedded programming (C/C++ or Arduino-style)
- Knowledge of Bluetooth LE or wireless data logging to PC/phone
(4) Data Analysis & Software
- Ability to analyze biosensor data and generate concentration–response curves
- Familiarity with statistical analysis of biosensor data (Python, R, MATLAB)
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot sources of noise/interference
- Document results and propose optimization strategies

Working Hours: 9:00 – 18:00 (Mon-Fri) / Fully Flex Time
