Description
A global and one of the world’s largest Insurance Service provider is looking for a strong bilingual leader for the AVP, Information Security Governance, Risk & Control, within the Japan Information Technology Department.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement security policies, standards, and procedures
- Identify, assess, and manage security risks with appropriate controls
- Ensure compliance with regulations and industry frameworks through audits and assessments
- Oversee implementation of controls to protect systems and data
- Manage third-party and vendor security risks
- Ensure vendors comply with internal security standards and policies
- Maintain and enhance control frameworks to reduce risk exposure
- Drive continuous improvement of security governance and risk processes
- Enhance automation and efficiency of key controls
- Keep security practices aligned with evolving threats and regulations
- Partner with business, technology, and global teams to ensure alignment
- Communicate security risks, priorities, and initiatives to senior stakeholders
- Collaborate across cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and audit functions
- Lead and develop security teams, driving performance and capability growth
- Promote a strong security culture across the organization
- Operate effectively in a global, matrix environment
Required Skills:
- 10+ years in cybersecurity, including 5+ years in leadership roles
- Strong experience in governance, risk management, compliance, and control (GRC)
- Solid knowledge of security frameworks and standards
- Experience in people management and process improvement
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Experience working in global, cross-functional environments

Working Hours: 9:00 - 18:00 (Mon-Fri)
Working Style: 3 days’ work in office, and 2 days’ work from home
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, National Holidays, Year-end and New Year Holidays, Paid Holidays
