A Global and one of the world’s largest Insurance Service provide is looking for a strong bilingual Assistant VP, Information Security Governance, Risk & Control professional.

Responsibilities:
- Lead development and continuous enhancement of MetLife Japan’s information security governance framework
- Establish, maintain, and enforce enterprise-wide security policies, standards, and procedures
- Ensure alignment with global security strategy, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices
- Drive the implementation of risk management methodologies including assessments, scoring, mitigation tracking, and escalation governance
- Ensure enterprise compliance with laws, regulations, and internal audit requirements, including JFSA, FISC, NIST, PCI-DSS, and MetLife global standards.
- Lead enterprise risk identification, assessment, quantification, and mitigation planning across infrastructure, applications, data, and cloud domains.
- Oversee design, implementation, and monitoring of security controls that protect sensitive information from unauthorized access, misuse, or loss.
- Drive control automation, continuous monitoring, and uplift of key controls supporting operational resilience.
- Facilitate security reviews, threat assessments, and remediation activities in collaboration with technical teams and global experts.
- Drive improvements in governance processes, compliance workflows, reporting automation, and overall GRC operational efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to enhance audit readiness, reduce risk exposure, and uplift overall cybersecurity posture.
- Act as a senior advisor to Line of Business leaders, COO/CFO/CIO stakeholders, and Group Information Security leadership by presenting reports for Executive Committees, global risk bodies, and regulatory agencies.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Applications, Data, Cloud, Risk, Legal, and Internal Audit teams to ensure all security programs are aligned, controlled, and well-governed.
- Ensure disaster recovery, cyber resilience, privacy controls, and technology currency across all Policy Servicing platforms.
- Oversee stability, monitoring, and operational readiness for mission-critical Policy Servicing systems.
- Track and manage performance metrics, financials, project KPIs, and delivery outcomes to meet annual business and technology commitments.

Required Skills:
- 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or governance role.
- Information security governance frameworks
- Risk management methodologies
- Compliance ®gulatory standards (FISC, JFSA, NIST CSF, PCI DSS)
- Security control design, testing, and continuous monitoring
- Third-party cyber risk management
- Audit engagement & remediation
- Proven background managing security programs in complex, regulated environments (financial services strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of automation tools, GRC platforms, and data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
- Professional certifications highly desirable: CISSP, CISM, CISA
- Excellent communication skills, especially in simplifying complex security topics for business audiences

Working Hours: 9:00 - 18:00 (Mon-Fri)
Working Style: 3 days’ work in office, and 2 days’ work from home
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, National Holidays, Year-end and New Year Holidays, Paid Holidays
