One of the world’s largest financial services companies is seeking an Application / Solution Architect Lead.
Responsibilities:
- Define and apply target application/solution architectures aligned with business strategy and enterprise architecture (EA) principles
- Define and roll out architecture standards, patterns, reference architectures, and roadmaps
- Design and promote modern, reusable architecture patterns applicable across Japan and global teams
- Provide architecture consulting for large-scale, high-risk, and high-impact initiatives
- Optimize the enterprise landscape across applications, data, and technology domains
- Ensure solution designs meet requirements for security, performance, and scalability
- Drive the approval of standards and new technologies through the Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB)
- Collaborate with global architecture teams (including Japan and the US), as well as business and IT stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and manage performance for the Solution Architecture team
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience in application development or architecture design for core or mission-critical systems at a life insurance company (e.g., policy administration, policy servicing, claims, customer management, etc.)
- Architect-level experience in both cloud (AWS) and on-premises environments
- Experience actively leading the development of application/solution architecture strategies and roadmaps in a global organization, considering alignment across multiple countries and regions
- Business-level communication skills in both Japanese and English, including the ability to facilitate meetings, lead discussions, negotiate, build consensus, and produce formal presentations and documentation in both languages (internal support such as translation tools or interpreters can be utilized)
- Proven experience leading, executing, and delivering optimization initiatives across multiple applications within a specific business domain (e.g., sales, product development, marketing, etc.)

Working Hours : 9:00 – 18:00
Work Style: Hybrid (1–2 days per week in the office; 0–2 days of weekend work per month)
