Description
A Global IT Firm is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Security Audit & Testing Professional to join the Cyber Security Defense Department.
This role focuses on performing comprehensive security audits and testing across applications and systems to proactively identify and mitigate cyber security risks.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise along with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and ensure the security of Rakuten’s services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive security audits and testing to identify vulnerabilities across network/infrastructure, web/API, mobile application, and GenAI systems. This includes source code and software component analysis using appropriate tools and following industry standards such as OWASP
- Create and manage vulnerability tickets to report findings identified during security testing
- Conduct kick-off meetings and connection checks to ensure all required test information is sufficient before commencing security audits and testing
- Communicate vulnerabilities and associated risks by adapting communication style to suit differing audiences
- Follow up on vulnerabilities and verify remediation results with the Development team
- Provide guidance and advice on vulnerability remediation, including secure design and implementation practices
- Review remediation actions or justification evidence provided by development teams to ensure effectiveness and compliance with security requirements
- Proactively contribute to the improvement of security audit and testing operations as well as section/team-wide processes
Required Skills:
- Web application and network security testing experience
- Understanding of application vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and remediation techniques
- Hands-on experience with security tooling (e.g., DAST, SAST, SCA, CSPM, mobile application security, network/vulnerability scanner tools) and the ability to interpret their output effectively
- Familiarity with JIRA or other ticketing systems
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in security auditing and testing
- Proactive and initiative-taking mindset
