A global automotive company is looking for an experienced Platform Integration Specialist (Application Modernization Engineer) to develop modern cloud-native applications and support the modernization of enterprise systems as part of its large-scale digital transformation following the integration of two businesses. Working within the IT organization, you will design and develop modern applications, APIs, and microservices while supporting cloud adoption and enterprise integration initiatives. You will collaborate with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and global teams to deliver innovative solutions that improve manufacturing, engineering, and business operations.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern enterprise applications
- Build scalable cloud-ready applications using Java, .NET, or Node.js
- Refactor legacy applications to improve performance and maintainability
- Develop REST APIs and microservices to integrate legacy and modern systems
- Support cloud-native and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Work with architects to deliver scalable integration solutions
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practices
- Support deployments across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments
- Ensure applications meet performance, security, and reliability standards
- Work closely with business users, architects, and global development teams
- Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and serverless computing
- Contribute to enterprise modernization and digital transformation initiatives

Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development, application modernization, or system integration
- Strong programming experience with Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or Node.js
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with Agile development, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering best practices
- Good understanding of enterprise system integration, cloud-native application development, and legacy application modernization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business users, architects, developers, and global stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities
