Description
A world’s leading Insurance service provider, is looking for a talented & bilingual Application Development Lead, with in the Solution Delivery Team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and management of contract inquiry data, and agent data provisioning applications mainly
- Oversee the complete application development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
- Ensure applications meet business requirements, performance standards, and regulatory compliance
- Work effectively in a multiproject environment, managing multiple concurrent development initiatives
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including system architects, quality assurance and system operation teams
- Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation across multiple development streams
- Manage relationships with Indiabased offshore development vendors (The onsite contact is bilingual)
- Coordinate development activities, quality standards, and deliverables with offshore teams
- Provide technical guidance and ensure knowledge transfer progression between onshore and offshore teams
- Implement generative AI tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to enhance development productivity
- Research and evaluate new technologies and development methodologies
- Promote best practices in AIassisted development while maintaining code quality and security standards
- Utilize expertise in Java, COBOL, and/or SQL for application development and system integration
- Design and implement robust data management solutions for customer and contract information
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in application development and system management
- 3+ years of experience in team leadership or project lead roles
- Experience with data warehouse, customer management systems, or insurancerelated applications (preferred)
- Experience in multiproject environments and concurrent project management
- Experience with offshore development coordination
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in at least one of Java, COBOL, or SQL with strong understanding of database management
- AI Tools Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with generative AI development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot (preferred)
- Project Management: Experience working in multiproject environments with ability to manage concurrent development initiatives
- Vendor Management: Ability to coordinate with offshore development teams and manage vendor relationships
- Data Management: Understanding of data warehouse concepts, customer data management, and system integration
