Description
One of Japan’s leading energy groups is looking for a talented AI Solution Engineer within the AX Strategy Promotion Department.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business teams to understand operational challenges, workflows, user needs, and business requirements.
- Define functional, data, technical, non-functional, and acceptance requirements for AI and data initiatives.
- Select the most appropriate AI and data technologies based on business needs.
- Design end-to-end solution architectures covering: Data, AI / ML models, Applications, System integration, Security, Operations
- Develop and validate PoCs, prototypes, and technical solutions.
- Support the development and implementation of AI solutions through production.
- Evaluate solutions from the perspective of technical feasibility, scalability, cost, reusability, and business value.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams on production readiness, including security, access control, monitoring, model updates, and incident management.
- Drive continuous improvement based on user feedback, system usage, and performance.
- Support adoption of AI solutions across different business functions.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and developing solutions involving: Machine Learning, Generative AI, Data Analysis, and Data / AI Applications
- Strong programming experience, particularly with Python.
- Experience with data and AI platforms such as: Databricks, Snowflake,
- Cloud experience with: Azure, or AWS, or GCP
- Strong ability to translate business problems into AI requirements and technical solutions.
- Experience working with business divisions, IT departments, and external vendors to deliver projects.
- Strong understanding of AI architecture and solution design.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Work Location: Tokyo
Working Hours: 9:00 – 17:30 (Monday – Friday)
Work Style: Office-based (5 days/week initially, with 1 day WFH available after training completion)
