Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and own the enterprise data and analytics strategy and roadmap , aligned with corporate objectives and digital transformation priorities.
- Provide thought leadership on how data, analytics, and AI can be leveraged to solve complex business challenges and unlock new opportunities.
- Translate corporate and business strategies into scalable data and analytics initiatives with clear business outcomes.
- Provide inputs and recommendations to shape the organisation’s long-term data maturity and capability roadmap.

- Guide the development of robust data architectures, data models, pipelines, and analytics frameworks to support current and future needs.
- Ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders on data-driven decision-making.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases and prioritise analytics initiatives.
- Facilitate alignment between business, IT, risk, and governance teams to ensure effective delivery and adoption of data solutions.
- Communicate complex data concepts, insights, and recommendations clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.
- Work closely with data governance and risk teams to ensure compliance with data policies, quality standards, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish best practices, standards, and operating models for data engineering, analytics, and reporting.
- Drive a strong culture of data quality, accountability, and ethical data usage across the organisation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and analytics professionals .
- Set clear performance expectations, career pathways, and capability development plans for the data team.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and learning-driven data culture.
- Build internal data literacy and analytics capability across the organisation.
- Provide direction on the selection, adoption, and optimisation of data platforms and analytics tools (e.g. Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, cloud-based data platforms).
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in data engineering, analytics, AI, and cloud technologies, and assess their relevance to the organisation.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation in data and analytics practices.
Job Requirements:
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
- Certifications in cloud-based data platforms, data engineering, analytics, or data governance are highly desirable.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or data platform implementation roles.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data and analytics programmes .
- Strong track record of partnering with senior stakeholders and delivering data-driven business outcomes.
- Experience in people management and building high-performing data teams.
- Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture, data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics solution design .
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, business intelligence, and advanced analytics concepts.
- Hands-on or oversight experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms .
- Proficiency in Power BI , SQL, Python, and/or R; experience with notebooks such as Jupyter or R Studio is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and security principles.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
